PHP Fatal error: Max execution time of 30 seconds exceeded

No database or other Oracle stuff this time. Close to Apache though.
Testing some large downloads with WordPress, and the download of a large file stopped round about 2.6GB.

The download is through http, so my first thought that it should be a time-out in Apache or what so ever. But in the Apache error-log it showes:
“PHP Fatal error:  Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in <my home – wordpress – plugin – directory>wp-e-commerce/wp-shopping-cart.old.php on line 1179″

30 seconds? Download stopped after more than an hour!

WordPress-blog upgraded to 2.7

Not an oracle topic this time. Sorry ;-)

This blog is powered by WordPress, and I performed an upgrade to 2.7. and configured some plugins.
Prepared my upgrade, checked this site for example: http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2008/12/11/wordpress-27-upgrade-tips . So far the theory.

Upgrade WordPress naar 2.6.2 bij Strato provider, altijd lastig…

Na een lange tijd niets meer aan de site jobacle gedaan te hebben, er weer zin in gekregen doordat ik op m’n werk ook betrokken werd bij een intranet met WordPress, versie 2.6.2. Ik zat zelf op een heeeele oude versie. Besloten om te upgraden en een ander ‘theme’ te gebruiken.

Ander theme was geen probleem. Upgraden eigenlijk ook niet, ware het niet dat de site een witte pagina gaf, en bleef laden.
